I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Ally and Nikos’ spring Heinz Chapel wedding recently,  it was a day filled with love, laughter, and some stunning backdrops.

Our day began at the gorgeous Oaklander Hotel in Oakland. This place is the epitome of chic elegance. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere that’s both modern and cozy. The whole place boasts sleek, contemporary decor with touches of vintage charm—perfect for those getting ready shots. Ally and her bridesmaids looked absolutely radiant against the backdrop of the hotel’s stylish interiors.

Next, we headed over to the Cathedral of Learning for some portraits and their first look. This spot is one of my favorites in Oakland, and it’s easy to see why. The towering architecture and sprawling green spaces create a unique Pittsburgh vibe. Ally and Nikos snuggled up to their first look near the Cathedral and then had family photos in the  grassy park area. The weather was perfect, a tad windy. But this day  felt gorgeous out!

Then it was time for the ceremony at the iconic Heinz Chapel. This place never ceases to amaze me with its stunning stained glass windows and intricate details. The ceremony was heartfelt and beautiful, with Ally and Nikos surrounded by their closest family and friends. The chapel’s timeless beauty provided a perfect setting for such a significant moment.

After the ceremony, we made our way to the reception near the rainforest section of Phipps Conservatory. Talk about a unique venue! The lush greenery and exotic plants made it feel like we were in a tropical paradise. Ally and Nikos had chosen a beautiful blue color scheme for the decor, which complemented the vibrant surroundings perfectly. The reception area was adorned with elegant touches, delicate floral arrangements, and sparkling fairy lights. It was a sight to behold!

The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and lots of dancing. Thank you, Ally and Nikos, for letting me be a part of your special day. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love! I hope everyone else enjoyed this spring Heinz Chapel wedding too!

Love and Disco Balls: Sam and Roger’s Kinsey Event Warehouse Wedding

Sam and Roger’s wedding at the Kinsey Event Center in Oakdale, PA, was an celebration of love, laughter, and pure magic. With a unique twist on the traditional wedding, their special day was all about throwing convention to the wind and embracing their love for each other. From the dazzling Hotel Monaco to the eclectic Kinsey Event Warehouse, this wedding day was filled with personalized touches.

Getting Ready at Hotel Monaco:

Sam and Roger’s wedding adventure started at the luxurious Hotel Monaco in downtown Pittsburgh. Nestled in Downtown Pgh , this chic hotel provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s pre-wedding preparations. This boutique hotel has so many fun spots for photos and we ate it up! They had their first look on the  breathtaking rooftop. With the cityscape Sam and Roger got to set eyes on one another in their wedding attire.  The couple radiated happiness as they danced, laughed, and exchanged kisses with the city behind them.

Exploring Downtown Pittsburgh:

After capturing the magic on the rooftop and in Hotel Monaco, we took to the streets of downtown Pittsburgh for some couples and bridal party portraits. Im all about a mix of traditional and unique shots that can be hung in homes. With fusion of their style and my camera we got some fun stuff!

Eclectic Kinsey Event Center:

The Kinsey Event Center in Oakdale, PA, proved to be the perfect canvas for Sam and Roger’s vision. With its unique blend of architectural styles, this venue oozed character and Industrial Charm. The rustic elements mingled effortlessly with modern design, creating a one of a kind ambiance that perfectly complemented the couple’s personalities.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Sam and Roger’s wedding was the dazzling disco ball theme. The event center transformed into a sparkle fest with glittering disco balls on all of the tables. The play of lights and reflections created a fun atmosphere.The industrial-chic décor combined with the disco ball theme worked so well!

Sam and Roger’s wedding at The Kinsey Event Warehouse was just amazing to capture. I love when clients mix traditional wedding events with their unique style. Its important and greatly appreciated! It was a great reminder that weddings are a time to celebrate what makes each couple unique.

I feel privileged to have captured the magic of this day. Congrats again Roger and Sam!

The Ceremony:
The ceremony was held outdoors, beneath a canopy of trees, with the wooded pines as a breathtaking backdrop. Grace looked radiant in her elegant lace gown, and Erik, dapper in his tailored suit, couldn’t take his eyes off his bride. The couple’s love story was beautifully told throughout the day , and their commitment to one another was palpable.One of the most remarkable features of this wedding venue is the versatility! Everything from the wooded area, to the fields was breathtaking! I love the photos we got throughout the venue! The reception was held in the farm’s charming barn, where rustic elegance met modern style. Twinkling fairy lights and flowers adorned the tables, creating an enchanting atmosphere.As the sun set over the rolling hills, Grace and Erik came out for some sunset photos. Some of my favorite images from the night! When we went back the music filled the air, and guests joined in the celebration on the dance floor. It was a night of pure joy, where the couple’s love and happiness radiated throughout the venue.

Grace and Erik’s summer wedding at Sanaview Farm was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From the stunning natural surroundings to the personalized touches that made their day unique. I had the distinct pleasure of capturing Hillary & Ben’s Pittsburgh’s National Aviary wedding photos.It’s been a few years since I’v photographed at The Aviary. So I was super excited to see their new event room! The Aviary’s lush botanical gardens provided a picturesque backdrop, adorned with stunning foliage and blooming flowers. Under the expansive windows, facing the mesmerizing garden, Hillary and Ben exchanged heartfelt vows, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The aviary staff guided us through interactive experiences, allowing the couple to take photos with some of the birds as well as guests! The reception hall at the National Aviary was elegantly decorated, blending seamlessly with the surrounding aviary habitats.Rich in color and bird cages!  The couple’s tables had an abundance of flowers and beautifully decorated with touches from Vintage Alley rentals.  The atmosphere was vibrant, as guests enjoyed delicious food and celebrated the union of HIllary And Ben. Special recognition goes to Mellisa from Devoted to You, who skillfully orchestrated the details to perfection, bringing the couple’s vision to life! As the night progressed, my sister DJ Jess took charge of the dance floor, igniting an electric energy that had everyone, young and old, grooving and celebrating. <3 !Pittsburgh’s National Aviary is a testament to the beauty of love and nature coming together.
