What to expect after your Session or Wedding

When can I expect to receive my edited images?

I’m eager to begin editing your images! It’s important to note that the delivery time for images can vary based on the season. Refer to your contract for specific details, but generally, wedding images may take up to 12 weeks to be delivered, while sessions typically have a turnaround of 4 weeks.Again please read your contract to know!

If you opted for a rush fee, rest assured that the images will be delivered within the agreed-upon timeframe.

For packages that involve selecting proofs, it’s crucial to make your choices promptly upon receiving them. Delaying the selection process may extend the timeline, especially if additional retouching is required. The 4-week timeframe is dedicated to editing proofs, pauses during the selection phase, and resumes when I receive your chosen favorites, concluding when your gallery is finalized.

What factors contribute to the time it takes to complete the editing process?

The turnaround time for editing images is influenced by several factors. These may include a backlog of sessions and weddings that precede yours, as well as time allocated for subsequent sessions, events, and weddings before I can dedicate office hours to editing. While I strive to share your images promptly, it’s essential to trust the process and acknowledge the necessary time for delivering the best possible work.

I’m eager to get my images sooner. Can I include a rush fee after my session or wedding?

Absolutely! Ideally, it’s best to add a rush fee before your wedding or session, allowing me to allocate dedicated time in my schedule to prioritize your work. While I may or may not be able to accommodate this request after your session or wedding, please don’t hesitate to reach out, and I’ll provide you with the necessary information. Keep in mind that the availability may vary depending on the month and season, considering my existing schedule commitments.

Where can I see some sneak peeks?

The sharing of your images on social media depends on the security provisions outlined in your contract. If you signed a model release and provided your social media information in the initial booking proposal, I’ll be tagging you in the posts I share. There might be instances where posts go up before you see the full gallery, and in other cases, I may post after you’ve received all of your images.

When can I share my images online?

Upon receiving your images, feel free to download and share them! I would greatly appreciate it if you could tag my Facebook page, TikTok, or Instagram account. Sharing my work in this way is a fantastic means for others to discover it, and any referrals that result from such sharing are sincerely valued.

How long are the images in the gallery?

The images will remain in the gallery for a minimum of 6 months. Note that I may change hosting companies periodically, so the gallery site should not be considered your backup. Once you receive your images, I am no longer responsible for them. It is advisable to download and back up your images in a cloud system, as well as creating copies on hard drives or flash drives.

You can instantly download images within the first 6 months. However, after this period, it may take a few hours for the servers to retrieve images on the backend if they are still available on the gallery site. If you anticipate needing to retrieve images in the future, please plan accordingly, considering the time required for the retrieval process.

As per the contract you signed, it explicitly states:

” If Client Receives digital downloads and/or a flash drive of the images CTG Photography is no longer liable for loss of the images if the client is negligent with their product after they receive it in the mail/email/download. This includes but is not limited to damage in the result of an animal, fire damage, water damage, stolen or lost products, acts of God, and other weather conditions after the images are delivered. It is highly recommended to make a backup of the files once in your possession. You should put your backup in a fire and water proof box for safety. You should also back your images up in a secure cloud system. After you receive your images CTG Photography is no longer liable for holding onto the images . The images will be held online in the gallery for at least 6 months. The gallery is not intended to be your backup on the studios site. You are liable for the images backups as soon as you receive your images.”

Boudoir Images are taken down generally 1 month after you receive your images for extra privacy and precautions!

How much space do I need on my computer, flash drive, or hard drive to back up my images?

For sessions generally anywhere from 1gb-5gb will do. For weddings it can range from 10gb-40gb depending on the file sizes and amount of images from your wedding. It’s smart to have as much space as you can.

Cropped Images explained:

I’d love to provide insights into image sizes and cropping. The images I typically deliver to clients have a 3:2 ratio, reflecting the size they are captured in my camera. This ratio is well-suited for prints in various dimensions, including 4×6, 6×9, 8×12, 10×15, 12×18, 16×24, 20×30, and 24×36. Before printing your images, I encourage you to take a moment to review this information to better understand the outcome when printing at different crop sizes.

Frequently, individuals reach out to me during the printing process, questioning why certain elements, like feet, are cut off in an 8×10 print. In such cases, I explain that the image is better suited for an 8×12 due to the subject’s positioning in the frame. The cropping in an 8×10 print results in the removal of a portion of the image. If you have any concerns about cropping your images when printing, I recommend reviewing this information.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
